1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SA Remote Hub website and services (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including job seekers, employers, and visitors. SA Remote Hub reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. About the Platform

SA Remote Hub is an online job board dedicated exclusively to remote work opportunities in and for South Africa. We provide a platform for employers to advertise remote roles and for job seekers to discover and apply for those roles.

We are not a recruitment agency. We do not participate in the hiring process, make hiring decisions, or guarantee the outcome of any application.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use our services. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.

4. Job Seeker Terms

4.1 Job seekers may browse listings and create an account free of charge.

4.2 By submitting an application through our Platform, you consent to your application details being shared with the relevant employer.

4.3 You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, CV, and any information submitted in applications.

4.4 SA Remote Hub does not guarantee that any application will result in an interview, offer, or employment.

4.5 You must not use our Platform to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent application information.

5. Employer Terms

5.1 Employers may post remote job listings subject to our listing policies and applicable fees.

5.2 All job listings must be for genuine remote roles. Listings that require candidates to be based in a physical office, relocate, or that are not bona fide employment or contracting opportunities will be removed.

5.3 Employers are solely responsible for the content of their listings, the accuracy of role descriptions, and compliance with South African employment law, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, the Labor Relations Act, and the Employment Equity Act where applicable.

5.4 Listings must not be discriminatory, misleading, unlawful, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

5.5 SA Remote Hub reserves the right to refuse, edit, or remove any listing that violates these Terms or our listing policies, without refund.

5.6 Employers acknowledge that SA Remote Hub is a distribution platform only. We do not screen candidates and are not liable for the conduct or suitability of any applicant.

6. Payments and Refunds

6.1 Paid listings and subscription plans are billed in advance. All prices are displayed exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

6.2 Payment is processed through our secure third-party payment provider. SA Remote Hub does not store card details.

6.3 Listing fees are non-refundable once a listing has been published, except where required by law or at our sole discretion.

6.4 Subscription plans may be canceled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refunds are provided for unused subscription periods.

6.5 SA Remote Hub reserves the right to amend pricing at any time. Changes to pricing will be communicated to existing subscribers with reasonable notice.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Post or submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harvest or collect contact information from other users without consent
  • Distribute unsolicited commercial communications (spam)
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the security features of the Platform
  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of any party
  • Engage in any unlawful activity or encourage others to do so
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the SA Remote Hub Platform, including but not limited to the website design, logo, copy, and software, is the property of SA Remote Hub or its licensors and is protected by South African and international intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the Platform without our prior written consent.

Employers retain ownership of their job listing content. By posting a listing, you grant SA Remote Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote that content on our Platform and associated channels (including our newsletter and social media).

9. Limitation of Liability

SA Remote Hub provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, SA Remote Hub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of data, or reputational harm.

Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to SA Remote Hub in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Third-Party Content and Links

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites, employer career pages, and external resources. These are provided for convenience only. SA Remote Hub does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party site.

11. Termination

SA Remote Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably determine to be harmful to the Platform, other users, or our reputation.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

We encourage users to contact us in the first instance to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
