Getting Started
What is SA Remote Hub? SA Remote Hub is South Africa’s dedicated remote job board, connecting employers with remote-ready South African professionals. Whether you are a South African company building a distributed team or an international business looking to hire South African talent, SA Remote Hub is your most direct channel to this audience.
Why should I post on SA Remote Hub instead of LinkedIn or Indeed? General platforms are built for general audiences. When you post a remote role on LinkedIn or Indeed, it sits alongside thousands of office-based listings competing for the same candidates’ attention. SA Remote Hub is purpose-built for remote work, every candidate on our platform is specifically looking for a remote role. The result is a more targeted applicant pool, less noise, and better-fit candidates without the premium pricing of large platforms.
What kinds of companies use SA Remote Hub? We work with a wide range of employers, from South African startups and scale-ups to established enterprises, digital agencies, and international companies with distributed teams. If you have a genuine remote role and want to reach South African talent, SA Remote Hub is the right platform.
I am an international company. Can I post on SA Remote Hub? Absolutely. Many of our listings come from companies based in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and elsewhere. International employers are a core part of what makes SA Remote Hub valuable to our candidate base. If you are looking to hire South African professionals for remote roles, you are in exactly the right place.
Listings and Posting
What types of roles can I post? You may post any genuine remote role, full-time, part-time, fixed-term contract, or freelance. The only requirement is that the role is truly remote and open to candidates based in South Africa. Roles that require candidates to work on-site or relocate are not permitted.
How do I post a job listing? Select the plan that suits your needs, create an employer account, and follow the listing creation steps. The process takes less than 10 minutes. Once your listing is submitted, our team reviews it before it goes live, typically within one business day.
How long does a listing stay active? Single listings are active for 30 days from the date of publication. Subscription plan listings remain active for the duration of your subscription or until you close them, whichever comes first.
Can I edit my listing after it has been published? Yes. You can edit your listing at any time from your employer dashboard. Changes go live immediately without requiring re-review, unless the nature of the role has changed significantly.
What happens when I find the right candidate? Simply close the listing from your dashboard. Closed listings are removed from the public board. If you are on a subscription plan, closing a listing frees up a slot for a new role.
My listing was declined. Why? Listings may be declined if they do not meet our remote-only policy, contain misleading information, are not for genuine employment or contracting opportunities, or violate our listing guidelines. You will receive an email explaining the reason. If you believe a listing was declined in error, please contact us at partnership@saremotehub.co.za .
Plans, Pricing, and Billing
What plans are available? We offer a free Starter plan (one active listing), a Growth plan for growing teams, and a Pro plan for companies with ongoing hiring needs. We also offer single listing pay-per-post and a range of add-ons including featured placement, newsletter sponsorship, and employer branding packages. See our pricing page for full details.
Is there a free option? Yes. Our Starter plan allows one active listing at no charge. It is a great way to experience the platform and the quality of our candidate pool before committing to a paid plan.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan? Yes. You can change your plan at any time from your employer dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
Do you offer annual billing? Yes. Annual billing is available on all paid plans at a discounted rate compared to monthly billing. Annual plans are billed upfront.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept major credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. SA Remote Hub does not store your card details.
Can I get an invoice for my payment? Yes. Tax invoices are available from your employer dashboard for all transactions. If you require a specific billing format or a VAT invoice, please contact partnership@saremotehub.co.za .
What is your refund policy? Listing fees are non-refundable once a listing has been published. Subscription fees are non-refundable for the current billing period but you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. Please refer to our Terms of Service for full details.
Featured Listings and Add-Ons
What is a featured listing? Featured listings are pinned to the top of relevant search results and category pages for the duration of the feature period. They are visually highlighted and included in our jobs newsletter, giving your role significantly more visibility than a standard listing.
What is the jobs newsletter? SA Remote Hub publishes a regular newsletter to our subscriber base of remote-working South African professionals. Newsletter inclusion means your listing is sent directly to candidates’ inboxes, not just waiting to be discovered on the board. Newsletter sponsorship slots are also available for broader brand visibility.
What is an employer branding page? An employer branding page is a dedicated profile on SA Remote Hub showcasing your company, your culture, team, benefits, remote work setup, and what makes you a great employer. It links to all your listing actives and is designed to help you attract candidates who are not just looking for a role, but for the right company to work for.
Applications and Hiring
How do I receive applications? Applications are sent directly to the email address or careers page link you specify in your listing. You can also opt to receive applications through our platform’s built-in application management tool, depending on your plan.
Does SA Remote Hub screen candidates for me? No. SA Remote Hub is a job board, not a recruitment agency. We surface your listing to the right audience, but the screening, interviewing, and hiring process is entirely yours to manage.
Can I repost a listing for a role I hire for regularly? Yes. If you hire for the same role on an ongoing basis, you can repost or renew a listing at any time. Growth and Pro plan subscribers can keep recurring roles active continuously.
I am hiring a South African contractor from outside the country. Are there compliance considerations? Yes, and it’s worth getting right. South African contractors working for international companies are typically classified as independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax obligations with SARS. If you want to hire a South African as a formal employee, you may need to work with an Employer of Record (EOR) service. We recommend consulting a cross-border employment specialist. We are working on publishing a resource guide on this topic for employers, watch this space.
