Do I need to create an account to browse jobs? No. You can browse all listings without registering. However, creating a free account allows you to save jobs, set up personalized job alerts, and track your applications in one place.

Applying for Jobs
How do I apply for a job on SA Remote Hub? Click on any listing to view the full details, then follow the application instructions provided by the employer. Some employers collect applications directly through our platform; others will direct you to their own careers page or email address. We make this clear on each listing.
Does SA Remote Hub handle my application? No. Once you submit an application, it goes directly to the employer. SA Remote Hub does not screen, filter, or forward applications, your information goes straight to the hiring team. This means faster response times and no middleman.
Can I apply for jobs at international companies? Yes. Many listings on SA Remote Hub come from companies based outside South Africa that are specifically looking to hire South African talent. These are roles you may never have found on local job boards or general platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed.
Will I be expected to relocate for these jobs? No. Every listing on SA Remote Hub is for a remote role. You work from wherever you are in South Africa. If a listing ever implies relocation is required, please report it to us and we will investigate immediately.
I applied for a job but have not heard back. What should I do? SA Remote Hub is not involved in the recruitment process, so we are unable to follow up on applications on your behalf. We recommend waiting 7-14 business days before following up directly with the employer using the contact details provided in the listing. Unfortunately, not all employers respond to every application.
Job Alerts and Listings
How do job alerts work? Once you create a free account, you can set up job alerts based on your preferred job category, skills, or keywords. We will notify you by email when new matching roles are posted, so you do not have to check the platform every day.
How often are new jobs added? New listings are added regularly. We curate and publish new remote roles from South African and international employers on an ongoing basis. Job alerts will notify you as soon as something relevant to your preferences goes live.
Are all the jobs on SA Remote Hub legitimate? We review every listing before it goes live to ensure it meets our standards. We only accept genuine remote roles from verified employers. If you ever encounter a listing that appears suspicious, misleading, or fraudulent, please report it to us at support@saremotehub.co.za immediately.
What types of remote jobs are listed on SA Remote Hub? We cover a wide range of industries and disciplines, including but not limited to software development, design, digital marketing, finance and accounting, customer success, project management, writing and content, data and analytics, sales, and operations. We are a generalist remote job board, not limited to tech.
Working Remotely and Getting Paid
How do I get paid if I work for an international company? This depends on your arrangement with the employer. Most international remote roles for South Africans are structured as independent contractor agreements rather than formal employment. Common payment methods include bank transfers (via SWIFT), platforms like Wise, Payoneer, or Deel. Some employers use Employer of Record (EOR) services to hire you as a formal employee.
Do I need to declare income earned from international companies? Yes. South African residents are taxed on their worldwide income. Income earned from international companies, whether as an employee or contractor, must be declared to SARS. We recommend consulting a tax professional familiar with cross-border remote work arrangements.
What is the difference between being an employee and an independent contractor for a remote job? As an employee, you are on the company’s payroll, receive benefits, and have certain protections under labor law. As an independent contractor, you are self-employed, invoice the company for your services, are responsible for your own tax, and generally have more flexibility but fewer statutory benefits. Many international remote roles for South Africans are contractor arrangements. Check the listing and confirm the arrangement with the employer before accepting any offer.
